Astronaut returns to Earth to speak to his hometown

Col. Michael S. Hopkins, an astronaut who recently returned to earth after serving 166 days in the International Space Station, spoke on leadership at the University of Central Missouri  on 9 October, 2014. Hopkins discussed his philosophy of "servant leadership," which values family and the ability to think like an ambassador. Hopkins graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy and applied to NASA four times before he was finally selected to be an astronaut.
