Back to the Earth

Col. Michael S. Hopkins, an astronaut who recently returned to earth after serving 166 days in the International Space Station, speaks on leadership at the University of Central Missouri on 9 October, 2014. Hopkins discussed his philosophy of “servant leadership,” which values family and the ability to think like an ambassador. Hopkins graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy and applied to NASA four times before he was finally selected to be an astronaut. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Emily F. Alley)
