Lithuania landing
A-10 Thunderbolt II pilot, Lt. Col. Michael Leonas, 303d Fighter Squadron, looks through archive photos of his great grandfather Petras Leonas at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania Sept. 9. Leonas made history when he landed the first ever A-10 at Kaunas International Airport. He also has family ties to Lithuania as his great grandfather was a powerful and respected man in from the 1920s until his death in 1938.
