signal to aircraft

Airman 1st Class Kavin Tayaq, a student JTAC, signals an A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft from the 442d Fighter Wing as part of their field training exercise south of Warsaw, Missouri on 19 November. Academic portions of the class rely on JTACs playing the role of pilots in hypothetical missions, but the exercise gives students the opportunity to speak with experienced pilots from the 442d Fighter Wing over the radio in realistic scenarios. Warsaw has hosted the exercises since 1993. (U.S. Air Force photo/ Technical Sgt. Emily F. Alley)
