Lt. Col. Mark Ernewein stands with counterparts from his final flight formation on the A-10 at Whiteman AFB on October 16, 2014. Ernewein was wet from the traditional soak in water and champaign following a 30 year career as a pilot, that included 12 combat deployments and has four thousand flying hours.
