OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM -- Master Sgt. Kevin Bossaller keeps in voice contact with the pilot as he refuels an A-10 Thunderbolt II. This was the first A-10 "hot" refuel in Iraq and the first time the R-14 fuel hydrant system was used in the hot-refuel process. Bossaller is an A-10 crew chief with the 442nd Fighter Wing from Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., which was deployed to Tallil and Kirkuk Air Bases in Iraq in 2003.
