Hot refuel
OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM -- Master Sgt. Kevin Bossaller (left) and Tech. Sgt. Dan Janssen completed refueling an A-10 Thunderbolt II at Tallil Air Base in southern Iraq on April 18, 2003. Officials here say this is the first A-10 hot refuel in Iraq and the first time the R-14 fuel hydrant system was used in the process. Bossallar is a crew chief, and Janssen is a fuel distribution supervisor. Both are assigned to the 442nd Fighter Wing from Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt. Terry L.
