BRAC aircraft arrive from New Orleans
The first two A-10s from the 926th Fighter Wing based near New Orleans arrive at the 442nd Fighter Wing, an Air Force Reserve unit at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., Feb. 24.The 442nd Fighter Wing has since received six additional A-10s as part of the base realignment and closure decision. A ninth aircraft is scheduled to arrive in June. The aircraft are on loan to 442nd pending a formal acceptance process, including an environmental impact statement.
