Wings Over Whiteman 2009
Tech. Sgt. Ricky Schweim answers 5-year-old Aiden Hopkins' questions about the the A-10 Thunderbolt II attack-aircraft during the Wings Over Whiteman air show June 6, 2009, at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo. Sergeant Schweim loads bombs, bullets and other ordnance on the A-10 and is an Air Force reservist in the 442nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, part of the 442nd Fighter Wing, based at Whiteman. The wing helped host the air show along with the 509th Bomb Wing. It was the first open house at Whiteman in three years and drew an estimated 30,000 people. (U.S. Air Force photo/Maj. David Kurle)
