Stampede returns

WHITEMAN AFB, Mo -- 442nd Civil Engineer Squadron members, U.S. Air Force reservists from the 442nd Fighter Wing here, pose for a group photo to commemorate their four-month deployment to Kirkuk Air Base, Iraq, before returning home in January. During the deployment, they programmed and worked on more than $4.25 million in infrastructure projects to improve the base and airfield, as well as ongoing maintenance projects such as road repair. The 442nd Prime BEEF - Base Engineer Emergency Force - troops represented many of the squadron's occupational disciplines including firefighters, heating ventilation and air conditioning, electrical, structures, power production and utilities.
