Yellow Ribbon Event

The wife of a 442nd Security Forces Squadron reservist laughs at the answer to a question during a Yellow Ribbon forum at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., Sep. 26. The 442nd Fighter Wing hosted spouses and family members of deployed Citizen Airmen from its security forces squadron for a day of discussions, classes and tours as part of its Yellow Ribbon campaign. The program is designed to assist military members and their families reintegrate after extended combat deployments. Currently members of the 442nd SFS are deployed to Kirkuk Air Base, Iraq, providing air-base defense in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The 442nd SFS deploys more than any other unit in the 442nd FW, which is based at Whiteman. (U.S. Air Force photo/Maj. David Kurle)
