Mass enlistment of reservists
Lt. Col. Charles French, 442nd Mission Support Group deputy commander, administers the Oath of Enlistment to seven new Air Force Reservists during a mass enlistment ceremony in the 442nd Fighter Wing's conference room Oct. 9. The seven new recruits are the first of Fiscal Year 2010 for the Air Force Reserve recruiting team at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo. The Whiteman recruiters will have to recruit more than 183 new reservists in order to exceed their recruiting goal for the sixth straight fiscal year. In Fiscal Year 2009, Air Force Reserve recruiters made 158 percent of their goal by bringing in 186 new Citizen Airmen. The newest Citizen Airmen are, from left to right, Gregory Dixon, Diana Ibarra, Kevin Buchanan, David Shannon III, Jeremie Jamito, Doniel Love and Richard Whitlock. The 442nd Fighter Wing is an Air Force Reserve unit based at Whiteman. (U.S. Air Force photo/Maj. David Kurle)
