442nd Fighter Wing ORI

Three members of the 442nd Maintenance Group walk to the flightline at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., Oct. 26 to participate in the 442nd Fighter Wing's operational readiness inspection. An inspector general team from Headquarters Air Combat Command arrived at Whiteman Oct. 23 and are expected to deliver a preliminary report Oct. 29. The 442nd Fighter Wing is an Air Force Reserve Command unit based at Whiteman. The wing operates, maintains and supports a squadron of A-10 Thunderbolt II ground-attack aircraft.
