Tech. Sgt. Butch Portell fastens a GBU-38, 500-pound, GPS-guided bomb to one of 11 weapons stations of an A-10C Thunderbolt II at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, Aug. 31. Sergeant Portell is an Air Force Reservist from the 442nd Fighter Wing and was one of approximately 70 reservists who deployed to Hill AFB from Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., to support live-weapons training for the wing's pilots at the Utah Test and Training Range.
