Assumption of command
Lt. Col. Allan R. Slavin, right, takes the guidon, and command, of the 442nd Logistics Readiness Squadron at an assumption of command ceremony Oct. 3 at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo. Colonel Slavin was the director of operations for the squadron, which provides for the logistics, supply, fuels and transportation needs of the 442nd Fighter Wing.
