Wright Flight Tour
Students from Central-Hardin Middle School, Hardin, Mo., toured Whiteman Air Force Base, March 12, 2012. The tour was organized by Wright Flight, a non-profit organization designed to motivate students to achieve academically through incentive tours and flights. The students were briefed on the 442nd Fighter Wing mission by Col. Gregory Eckfeld. They were also shown the Oscar 1 missile silo by Staff Sgt. Steven Bussey and ate at the Ozark Inn dining facility. The 442nd Fighter Wing is an A-10 Thunderbolt II Air Force Reserve unit at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo.
