Tech. Sgt. Chris Barton, 442nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron crew chief, drew the image for this door after Staff Sgt. Robert Bagby, 442nd AMXS crew chief, expressed his desire to tell his A-10 Thunderbolt II’s story. Tail number 118 has gear-up landed twice and been hit by a bomb, yet has still routinely accomplished the Air Force mission. The 442nd AMXS is part of the 442nd Fighter Wing, an A-10 Thunderbolt II Air Force Reserve unit at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Kent Kagarise)
