Jeff Kelly 442d Fighter Wing Public Affairs WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. -- A Reservist from the 442d Fighter Wing was among those selected for colonel according to a release from the Air Reserve Personnel Center today. Lt. Col. Mitch "Face" Hanson, 76th Fighter Squadron commander, was selected for this prominent career milestone. "I would like to extend my personal congratulations to our newest colonel-select," said Col. Hubie Hegtvedt, 442d FW commander. "Promotions at this level are extremely competitive. I am genuinely pleased, and quite proud of Lt. Col. Hanson. Well done and well deserved!" AFRC promotions to the grade of colonel require Senate confirmation. After Senate confirmation, officers will be promoted in increments announced by HQ USAF/REP. HQ ARPC/PBE will publish promotion orders at the appropriate time and will enter selection data in MILPDS. Orders announcing the promotion will be published and posted in a member's Personnel Records Display Application, including orders for limited extended active duty officers selected by Reserve Active Status List promotion boards.
