Tech. Sgt. Brenda Clark, the NCOIC of command and control operations for the 442d Fighter Wing, plans to officially stand up a chapter of the Rising 6 organization for the 442 FW at 1300 February 5, 2023, in the maintenance group conference room in building 1117 here.

Rising 6 is the junior-enlisted counterpart to the Top 3 organization and is dedicated to improving the morale and well-being of Airmen in ranks airman basic through tech. sgt. through mentorship and a sense of community.

After attending an NCO leadership and development course at Robbins Air Force Base, Ga., Clark returned to Whiteman with the intent to join a community of peers, but discovered there was no such organization for junior enlisted members within the wing.

“With the support of my mentor and leadership I offered to / decided to start up a Rising 6 - a group for E1 to E6 to develop relationships for our lower-level enlisted across the wing,” Clark said.

She intends for the first couple of meetings to try to get a feel for where the members would like to take the organization and what they’d like to see from the group.

“I truly would like the Rising 6 to be a trusting community where we can build comradery and support each other in both our AF-R and civilian ventures,” she said.
