ROYAL AIR FORCE MILDENHALL, England -- Members of the 442d Logistics Readiness Squadron received initial and refresher forklift training from Master Sgt. Anthony Burton, a supply specialist with the 100th LRS here, May 16, 2022 on RAF Mildenhall, England.
Burton provided two tiers of training: basic maneuvering for members who had never operated a forklift, and cargo movement for members with forklift experience.
Master Sgt. Sara Mongomery, the 442d supply section warehouse manager, explained that it’s difficult to get this type of training at home station, as the active-duty members who would typically provide it are out of the office on weekends when the 442 FW is drilling.
“Talk about a force multiplier,” said Capt. Mike Addis, the 442 LRS troop commander. “That just provides that many more people who can train others when they’re getting ready to go downrange, or Guard people at our base.”
