WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. -- Col. (Dr.) Aaron Greenspan assumed command of the 442d Medical Squadron in a ceremony September 12, 2021, on Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo.
Greenspan took command of the 79-person squadron, the top spot of which had stood vacant since June 2021.
Greenspan specializes in gastroenterology, hepatology, and internal medicine and is associated with Belleville Hospital.
He received his direct commission to the Air Force Reserve Medical Corps in 2007, and served as a flight surgeon for the 932d MDS at Scott AFB, Ill. before assuming command of that squadron. He then spent three years as an Individual Mobilization Augmentee to the Director of the Headquarters Air Force Reserve Medical Directorate at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.
