WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. -- The 25th Secretary of the Air Force Barbara M. Barrett, coined four Reserve Citizen Airmen from the 442d Fighter Wing here June 11, 2020, in the 5-Bay maintenance hangar.
Barrett recognized members who were nominated by their commanders for outstanding performance preparing the wing for an upcoming deployment.
Staff Sgt. Derek Kellogg, a fuels specialist with the 358th Fighter Squadron here, received a coin for ensuring the squadron attained an unprecedented 100 percent fitness test pass rate.
Staff Sgt. Emily Luzum, an intelligence analyst with the 442d Operations Support Flight here, was coined for identifying and fixing a training shortfall among intel troops here.
Tech. Sgt. Daniel Blair, a weapons loader with the 442d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron here, received a coin for completing a modification of the A-10 Thunderbolt II attack aircraft’s weapons pylon that increased weapons release accuracy.
Tech. Sgt. David Bellis, a defender with the 442d Security Forces Squadron here, developed the squadron’s fiscal year 2020 unit training assembly sustainment training plan, ensuring 56 SFS members were trained.
