WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. --

Meet Airman 1st Class Sierra Henderson, a Traffic Management Specialist for the 442d Logistics Readiness Squadron.

442d Fighter Wing Public Affairs: “What inspired you to join the Air Force?”

Airman 1st Class Henderson: “A greater purpose, I wanted something more in my life. I felt like I was at a standstill, and joining the Air Force gave me more opportunities and allowed me to chase my dreams while going to school for free.”

PA: “What are your plans after?”

H: “Right now I am working on my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, after that I plan on enrolling in the police academy and plan to commission in the Air Force.”

PA: “So far what has been your favorite memory in the Air Force Reserve?”

H: “Probably traveling to Germany with my unit, we became more united and it was a great training experience. We got to learn and work with active duty in another country, which was awesome, and we learned about how work flows at different bases. It was, all around, a good time.”
