The 442nd Services Flight deployed to Ft. Wolters, Texas, in support of Patriot Defender Ground Combat Skills Training providing breakfast and dinner to 140 security forces troops during the 15-day deployment.

There were approximately 29 Security Forces units - both the reserve and active duty - participating in this training exercise.

They were from Yokota Air Base, Japan, to Royal Air Force Station Lakenheath, England, to Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, to Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.

About two-thirds of those training will deploy within the next 30 days.

The flight received comments from, "This has been some of the best chow I have received doing an RTC course, and this is my fifth time going through a RTC before deployment," to "Thanks for helping feed us in the 'suck!'" to "I love you guys - better than Taco Bell on taco night!"

"Overall it was a great training opportunity for my troops," said Master Sgt. Sean Solum, 442nd Services Flight B-Team leader and NCOIC during the deployment. "It let us get the hands on training we haven't had in a while, and we got to meet a lot of great people during our deployment. Who knows? We may see them next time we deploy."
