'Arrow heads' around the world Published June 19, 2012 442nd Public Affairs Office WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs are no longer the only organization who uses the KC arrowhead as an emblem of pride. Add an A-10 to the already-famous red and yellow arrowhead, and you've got the most recognizable logo for the 442nd FW at Whiteman. This summer the wing is taking the pride of the 442nd FW around the world. The public affairs office is distributing laminated arrowheads to reservists who can then upload their photo to the wing's Facebook page. Some deployments for training this summer include Hawaii, England, Alaska and Tucson, Ariz., all of which will see the most trained and ready reservists the Air Force has to offer. Arrowheads can be picked up during duty hours in the 442nd Public Affairs office, building 48, room 209. For more information, you may call the PA office at 660-687-3842. Use of the emblem is not an endorsement the NFL or the Kansas City Chiefs.
