Those wanting to participate should show up at 6:30 a.m. and wear pink for breast cancer awareness. The race starts at 7 a.m. For more information call the fitness center at 660-687-5496. UCM Homecoming Join the youth center staff in cheering on University of Central Missouri at their homecoming football game against Central Oklahoma on Oct. 13 from 12:30 to 5 p.m. Ages 9-12 are welcome. Youth will need to bring $3 for admission plus money for snacks. The cost is $5.00 for members and $7.00 for non-members. For more information or to sign up, call 687-5586. Halloween Haunt The youth center will be taking a trip to Worlds of Fun, Kansas City, Mo., Oct. 20 from 2 p.m. to midnight. Cost will be $38 for members and $42 for non-members. Cost includes admission and transportation. For more information call 660-687-5586. Wingman Wednesday Every Wednesday, Stars and Strikes bowling center will have food specials from 4 p.m. to close. They will be serving a brand new sampler that includes two mozzarella sticks, two mini chicken tacos, two chicken tenders (regular or spicy) and two ravioli (meat or cheese) for $7. You may also get 10 wings for $5.50. Movies The base theater will show two movies this weekend: Friday at 7 p.m. it will show "Sparkle," rated PG-13, featuring Jordin Sparks and Whitney Houston. Saturday at 7 p.m. it will show "Hit and Run," rated R, featuring Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell. Admission is $5 for adults and $2.50 for youth (3-11 years old.) Home Community Care (HCC) The Family Child Care Home (FCC) offers a free program to Guard/Reserve parents on primary drill weekends.
