Aircraft 79-123 is the first A-10 Thunderbolt II flying out of the 442d Fighter Wing at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., to receive teeth on 13 May. The design was initiated by Senior Airman Spencer Stringer, an aircraft structural maintenance technician. The design was created by Stringer, and his supervisor Master Sgt. Geary Rose.

The 442d Fighter Wing is currently participating in a joint Air Force, NATO, Navy and Marine Corps exercise called Jaded Thunder. The purpose of the exercise is to give U.S. and allied aircrews the opportunity to simulate tracking enemy targets in complex environments.
