Members of the 442nd Mission Support Group prepare to defend their convoy during an operational readiness inspection field exercise Oct. 24 at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo. Citizen Airmen from the 442nd Mission Support Group operated from an austere location, known as "Camp Rock" during the two-day field-training portion of the inspection. The group is part of the 442nd Fighter Wing, an Air Force Reserve unit based at Whiteman. An inspector general team from Headquarters Air Combat Command arrived at Whiteman Oct. 23 and is expected to deliver a report on the wing's performance Oct. 29.
